Pam Blam and awkward yoga

My legs hurt. Not the normal pain after a running a few miles after a 2 week break. This is the type of pain that makes me hobble walk around. My range of motion has severely lessened and I walk like I am looking for the nearest restroom. In the past I have only experienced this type of pain after running a half-marathon, but this new level of pain comes a different source. P90X.

And what is P90X? It's a work out video with a strange guy named Tony working out in a staged locker room with a guy that has a prosthetic leg, a woman nicknamed 'Blam', and a guy that has too much energy. I joined some of the other cross-country runners at Flagler in our student center for what I thought would be an enjoyable workout. But no, we squatted and jumped for an entire hour. I was even in pain after the warm-up which consisted of 6 minutes of lunges. Whatever, bikini season is coming up now that the dang groundhog didn't see his shadow and I need to get ready.

Here is Tony and the gang

Here is the last time I was in the same pain after the Space Coast Half Marathon in November.

Even though my legs ache, I still went to my yoga class this morning. I am not taking yoga because I believe that I am connecting to the earth by standing barefoot on carpet, or if when my arms are below shoulder height when holding them straight out it means that I regret my past. It's a 1 credit class that I need to graduate...that's why I wake up at 8:30 am to take it...not because I want to. Well something about yoga is awkward to me, and it's called a root chakra. When my teacher announces that the main chakra that connects us to the earth and yada yada is a red chakra located between the anus and the genitals...I start to cringe. That's definitely not what I want to hear at 9 am. That's definitely not what I want to hear ever. I just don't want to hear the term 'anus' and 'genitals' ever while at school. And why does it have to be red? The root anus/genitals chakra could at least be blue. Seriously though.

Awkward.

On a completely different note, I went home today because my sister is back in America for a few weeks woooo!!! She has a cool blog that you should check out http://jessicamelanie.blogspot.com/

Jessica brought me back some cool and funny gifts from China that I'll show later on when I get around to taking pics.

Until next time.
